When I met António

When you’re in Macau (Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China), then Taipa should be on top of your priority list of places to discover. It will not be complete if you don’t get to meet “the guy.”

His name is António. Chef António Coelho. One of the most celebrated chefs who bring the most authentic Portuguese dishes for the locals, tourists and expats in Macau. This Michelin featured restaurante is named after the famous chef, too.

The ground floor has about 8-10 tables but they have more tables on the 2nd floor and an exclusive VIP area on the basement (for private events and functions). In total, it approximately has 30-40 tables in its new address at Rua dos Clerigos No. 7, Old Taipa Village, Taipa, Macau. An area famous for its European inspired alleyways (that means, narrow, ancient, stylish).

Our featured Chef is a Master Chef of the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs. It is an International Association of Gastronomy that is now present in over 70 countries. Its goal is to bring together food enthusiasts who share the same values of quality dining and appreciation as well as exploration of the culinary arts. He’s worked at 5 star hotels in Hong Kong, Africa and of course, his homeland Portugal.
